Staff come and staff go. Rarely do they go bearing gifts.
Jackson Pittman, quiet-but-so-steady on the City Bakery counter these
last few months, said goodbye to us today with a gift of farmstead
pickles, pesto and hot sauce - along with a sketch of instructions
and his self-portrait. Nice touch, Jackson, nice touch.
