WHEN YOU HAVE LEMONS, MAKE LEMONADE ...

But should you have an abandoned bike chained to the sidewalk in front of your bakery
for six months ...

June
August
November

… then make a sidewalk Christmas tree display in December!

Backstory: we've been calling NYC 311 since July, asking for removal
of the bike above which was abandoned in front of City Bakery in June.
In July, we were given Bike Removal Case #MLC704264.
In early August, our call was filed as "Illegal Dumping." Case #MLC704265.
Later in August, we tried again. Case #2013MLCN1156.

No matter, the bike has not been removed.

Our thinking now: the calls to 311 aren't our best path forward on this.
Instead, by building a Christmas Tree into the bike,
it qualifies for NYC's post-holiday curbside Christmas tree pick-up program.

One way or another, we're determined to have the bike removed.

Above, a decorative detail just to make sure
ALL of our customers feel the love.

  1. The bagel! The bagel is the coup de grace.
