Styrofoam is going, going, gone from NYC, thanks to the City Council vote last week to ban the planet-harming, tactile-offending junk beginning in 2015. Thank you, City Council [the rare moment when a government body does the pure and right thing by the environment].
With that item off the list, let's move on to the next place where the food industry can evolve to be more earth-friendly, though this is only partly about industry, and more about individuals:
